What do you think my 05 SMG ZHP AT is worth?

    Hi all,

Planning on selling my 05 SGM ZHP 5-spd AT in Jan 2014. Trying to figure out what to ask for as a fair price.

Here are the specs & details:

    2 owner- Northern California car
Full maintenance records since new; meticulously maintained since I bought it with 59K miles 5 years ago.
    Koni yellows all around
    Hotchkis sways front & rear
Porterfield R4S brake pads + Zimmerman rotors all around
Michelin PSS fronts & PS2 rears (will need to replace rears)
    M3 front strut bar
    154K miles

    Notable Maintenance:
AT trans service done twice @ 60K then at 120K again
Cooling system done twice @ 60K then at 120K again
    Inspection I @ 90K, 150K
    Inspection II @ 60K, 120K
Spark plugs and fuel filter @ 60K, 120K
    Brake rotors and pads @ 90K, 140K
Double VANOS rings and bushings rebuilt @ 110K by Rennwerks
    O2 Sensors pre-cat @ 100K
    Ignition Coils @ 150K
Alignment done by TC Designs in Milpitas beside Bavarians Motorsports

All service done at Bavarian Motorsports, Edge Motorworks or Rennwerks in the SF Bay Area or by myself.

    Thanks in advance!

What do you think my 05 SMG ZHP AT is worth?

First of all, I want to see a pic of your shift knob... If it's a real SMG (SSG2) you have an extremely rare car

Edit: forget what I said, you meant Sparkling Graphite Metallic.

Need more details regarding options (NAV, Alcantara or leather + color, heated seats, etc)

Beautiful ride man. The high mileage, AT transmission and the fact that it's lowered are the biggest negatives. Have a look at Pip's ride with only 88k miles and sublime maintenance history. He's asking 14.5 and barely any interest. So draw your conclusions from there.

Also, I'd highly suggest picking up a pair of new headlight lenses, as it would greatly help with the visual appeal of the car, which could help with the sale.

I think OP meant Silver Grey Metallic (unless it's an individual car). Sedans were never made in Sparkling Graphite Metallic - that was only a coupe option.

A transmission swap would have to be done to have a ZHP with a SMGII tranny.

Based on miles alone, I would say around $8k for the car.

    Silbergrau? That's just SG.

Sparkljng Graphite Metallic is SGM. As mentioned, a coupe only color option

    GLWS.

    Sent from my GS3.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Yes it is Silver Gray Metallic.

Plus my car is not lowered, rides on stock ZHP springs which is already 10mm lower. Since the shocks are adjustable it can do DD or auto-x/track duty with adjustments.

$14.5K seems a little high especially with 88K and no upgrades to the shocks or suspension.

Yea 14.5k is high. I started asking at 14.5k that included tse3 exhaust, afe intake, eurocharged tune, new suspension, lots of PM, and classy exterior mods. None of those are interesting mods to people buying ZHPs or cars in general. I'm taking the car back to stock and going to try and get $12k out of it (might have trouble doing that) with 88k miles. Most zhp enthusiasts aren't going to be interested in AT so you'll meet those looking at KBB values for standard 3 series and that is a fairly high mileage AT that is maintained, but there is a stigma about AT.

I'd say you could expect to get in the $8k, unless you found an enthusiast wanting an AT.

Forgot to mention that the car has the factory Nav, Silver cube trim, Alcantra steering wheel, Alcantra shift & hand brake, Black interior with full leather seats and trims.

What's the condition of the steering wheel? If it's going, then it will likely be a negative factor. When I was shopping around for a zhp, I came across a few with semi-worn steering wheels and, being a total newb, I thought it was awful.
