Awesome! It's good for them, too, considering how much you track.

In the market for an E90 M3
The biggest thing about sponsorship is that its so simple just to ask and sometimes its just that easy!

Is the n51 like the e46 SULEV? If so, I hope you don't ever encounter the maintenance costs of that engine. Mike Miller writes regularly about horror stories.
I'm excited to see how this turns out!

No...more reliable. Not heard of a story yet on the N51.
Big benefit of the N51 is that it has a 3 stage DISA manifold...which opens up the opportunity for a tune with considerable gains.
You cannot do a manifold swap in STX, so this should help my cause

Assuming you go with a 9 inch wide wheel, some 245 width tires will be too narrow. They will fit but won't maximize the rim width. I have 9" wheels on my E36 M3. 255s fit the rim much better. The tire profile is square. Approximately 90 degrees from sidewall to tread. |====| 245 tires had a trapezoid profile. The sidewall was angled toward the center of the wheel. /===\ This occurred with Falkens and 2 sets of Dunlops. That said pure track tires like Hoosier/Continentals run wide and you may be OK with 245. You may even be able to use a 235. Discuss carefully with your tire vendor.
Good luck,
t.
Typically within this type of classing you want to stretch the tire. So some people run 245s, even 235s on a 9" wheel. It just increases responsiveness that much.
With that being said, I can still fit a 245 or 255 on my 8.5", but the 255 might be a bit too squishy...
I'm going to start out with the 245 most likely and we'll go from there
