Anyone here ever used RTV on transmission pan gasket?
I’m still leaking after a 2nd gasket change, despite diligently cleaning the mating surfaces and torquing properly.
Prepared for the possibility that it’s a warped pan (not sure how that would’ve happened though).
I bought new parts and want this to be the last time I change it…

What battery do people like? I’m using the Oreillys battery and have had my second failure in 2.5 years. Battery is at 12.0-12.2 after sitting for about 16 hours.

You sure you don't have a small drain somewhere?
My OEM battery is from 2014 and is still strong. I am not going to pre-emptively replace it, I have AAA if things go wrong

I'm running the Interstate H5 AGM battery. It's the Mini Cooper size, since that was what they used in the CSL.

is AGM the battery tech that is not good if the car sits for a long time? My car can go weeks without me driving it.

Don't think so. AGM has a low discharge rate. My car would last ~3 weeks between starts. I think it could go longer if I had a normal sized battery tbh. My car is on a tender nowadays since I just drive the Tesla everywhere.
