    It triggers when the front, rear, or both sets of brake pads reach a certain thickness. A sensor is slotted into the brake pad, and when the pad wears down enough to expose the sensor to the rotor, that contact trips the sensor and turns the light on.

    There is one sensor in the front and one in the rear, at opposing corners.

    The pads are pretty much paper thin when it triggers
    Dinan CAI &Throttle body, ESS Tuning TS2, Bimmerbrakes gen3 headers, UUC SSK & DSSR. Achilles oil pump, VAC oil pan baffle
    M3 Motor mounts, UUC Trans mounts, Modified clutch style LSD 3.15, TMS front subframe reinforcement, Koni Yellow sports,
    H&R sport springs,
    UUC sway bars, BMW Perf. Rotors, UUC SS brake lines, Hawk HPS pads, CSL replica wheels,
    Rotora strut bar, FXR HID conversion, M3 Mirror conversion, BSW stage 1 speakers

    These are the 2 thinnest pads. Should these be replaced soon?

    edit: Looked it up and it looks like it's time. Not sure if I should just replace these two or look for new brakes all around.

    Just wait until you literally grind to a halt (it won't be long!), and throw new rotors, pads & sensors at it!

    Front brakes wear faster than rear ... You should check before replacing all

    Those pads look like they're at 50% or so... depending on your driving habits, they could last for quite a while

    I'm thinking of going ceramic, so I would probably need to be consistent on all 4 corners. FCP has a Meyle/Akebono kit. Has anyone heard anything about Meyle rotors?
