    What’s a bad AT habit...?

    Putting your car into park AND THEN pulling the e-brake... Should go neutral, e-brake, check to make sure car doesnt budge, then park.

    My mechanic quoted me almost 800 for the 100k ATF flush with 260 parts. That seems like way too much or does that sound about right?

    Proper flush, or simple drain and fill? For a flush maybe it’s ok since they use a fancy machine, but I would say too much for a drain and fill, even if they do it 3x

    Is that literally just a flush, or changing the AT filter too? A full service kit with filter is $155 from FCP.

    The vast majority of people I see, even the employees at my BMW-only Indy, never use the parking brake on my auto e46s.

    Uhh... I don’t follow. How’d that happen with a manual?

    I often kill the engine on my manual mx5 before it’s 100% stationary.

    I have two AT e46s.
