    You’re probably hearing lifter tick. Common after autox or track use. I’d you’re just driving normally, likely low on oil.

    My Miata ticks all the time, however.

    Is there any reason to NOT get this cold weather OE kit?

    Best option out there. Easier to pull the manifold but the job can be done with it still installed. If you pull the manifold off, it's a rabbit hole with " while I'm in here"

    Replace the iacv grommet and throttle body gasket as well.

    Can be done without taking manifold off. I’ve done it twice. First attempt took me a whole day, second attempt was about 4 hrs.

    Yea I was looking at taking off the manifold on my ZHP last year, and it's definitely a "while I'm in there" rabbit hole!

    I'd say, if youve never taken off the intake manifold, then do it because rabbit hole

    The car barely had 105k on it.

    My zhp is at 161k and never had the manifold off.

    I'm sure I'll find another time in the next 50k to pull the manifold. I'm going to skip it this time.

    For a non-manifold job, any other things to purchase?

    Throttle body o-ring? Seems like this is rare.
    ICV gasket..thingy? Seems rare, too.

    Anything else?
