If you were to open your fuel pump, and see this type of hose clamp, would you think this is the original pump?

+1. Pump is original for sure. I never seen that people installing oem hose clamps instead of regular hose clamp

I reused my original one...
I didn't have a choice. I had the new pump already in the trunk when mine failed but I didn't have any clamps. I replaced it at a rest stop on I-95.
The original one crimped on just fine, though I wouldn't reuse it a 3rd time. The OE clamp is a "single use" crimp connector.

That’s what I thought... according to my records my fuel pump and seal were replaced at 70k miles (currently at 102k) by an independent shop in Texas. Terry Sayther, perhaps some of your Texas mafiosos know [of] him. If this is indeed the original pump I’m gonna be pissed

He could have reused the clamp. BP just said he did it and I've done it myself with those style clamps in a pinch. Not ideal, but if it's been fine for 32k miles then it ain't going anywhere.
He also could have gone overboard and used a new clip style clamp from BMW instead of a simple screw hose clamp.
It looks like there's a date code printed on the fuel pump - just above the hose clamp in your pic. If that is indeed a date code and it says mfg in 2004 then uhhh...
