question about published conflicting hp ratings does my zhp have 235 or 255 hp?

I have a question that I have not seen answered

I am sure it must be here but I cant find it

What is the actual horsepower? of the ZHP
    I have a 2006 coupe
and when I look up the horse power for the 2006 coupe I see 255hp
however when I look up ZHp I see 235hp

if indeed the quarter mile time is accurate at 14.2 and 0-60 @5.6 how is this possible at 235 hp
when the 328i does 0-60 @ 6.0-6.7 depending on who you ask.

I know Bmw deflates their numbers for whatever reason

    but 20hp difference is huge.

    what is the real deal

is the 2006 zhp different from the 2003-2005 zhp?

Where do you see 255? I've never came across anything that listed it as a 330's power output.

EDIT: Just read the description in that very same Edmunds description. Pretty sure they're wrong, or talking about a non-U.S. version of the ZHP.

235 (10 more than the standard E46 330) has always been the published numbers. There are E46 and E90 coupes in 2006, so you might be looking at the E90 2006, which also had a 330 model) Not many people realize that 2006 was the last year E46s were made (coupes and verts). Most people think it's 2005 when sedans had stopped being produced. Added to that confusion is that fact that E90s started production in 2006.

That 255 hp figure for 2006 is for the E90 330i sedan - the coupe has been running a year behind for several generations now, and the '06 coupe & M3 were both E46 holdovers, while the sedan was the "all new" E90. '06 ZHP was identical to the '05.

I have direct experience - I factory-ordered an E90 in October of '05, after getting sticker shock from the '06 M3. Had I been hip to the existence of the ZHP, I almost certainly would have ordered one instead. 7 years later, I saw the light.

However, thank you for clearing that up.

Come on dad, lets keep kicking it, we're all getting along, lol. (And when my smartyoung@ss said something like that, got a quick backhand in the backseat while dad was driving from the front seat. Feel free to do the same.)

Also those vehicle reviews tend to take into account availability of the vehicles based on European delivery, we here in the US tend to be 6-12 months behind for BMWs debuts.

When looking at performance figures you need to look at more than the power figure.

An equally important part of the equation is how that power is put down.

ZHP's have different gearing as we'll as a lighter flywheel that help it accelerate faster.
