No cup holder for a trenta iced coffee. Fail.

Looks great, BP! I may have to wire up some more 12VDC in my car(s).

Charlie did bring up a good point via text... Splicing in the socket may be easy for him (does electrical work and took point on my install) and me (know how to and have done it in the past), but keep in mind that soldering is involved if you want to do it right. So, if you want to do it, consider this before starting. Taps can work, but soldering is better as it's a more reliable connection.

BTW - Coffee would never see the inside of my car. Gross...

I do now have a solution for the beverage problem, however. Charlie recommended the Ultimate Cupholder (http://www.ultimatecupholders.com) that he's been using in his M3 for a few years. Looking at it, I think this would be the perfect solution to my Cupholder problem, so I'm going to order two, one for me and the other for the passenger, so I can restore full cupholder functionality and make it better in the process!

The armrest delete is a nice touch. Too bad that fugly cupholder solution is the only option.

Sure it may work but it does not flow with the interior. Same goes for phone mounts.

I think that as far as cell phone mounts go, the Bimmian mount coupled with the Wizgear magnetic phone mount attached to it can't be beat as far as convenience goes! Love mine.

hmmm, i might get one of those cupholders. not for coffee, but for water bottles as they are impossibly tall and impede comfortable shifting. thanks for the link, BP!

Thank Charlie for the link - those cupholders didn't even occur to me 'till he mentioned it, despite me having been in his M3 numerous times.
Those pesky water bottles sure do get annoying in the factory cupholders...

I've had issues with my ultimate cup holder not staying in place. Maybe there is a trick to getting the "arm" to stay under the console trim?
