    Clutch Options

My clutch went out today...So I'm looking at bavatuo to get a new clutch...to say the least its overwhelming. I want a stock clutch and stock flywheel. I also want to replace the rear seal and throwout bearing while the car is torn apart. There are two kits on bavauto with everything included minus the flywheel. Ive also looked at autohaus az. My budget for the clutch, flywheel, throwout bearing, and rear seal is under 1K. Can someone please steer me in the right direction.

Also my car is an 03 if that helps the search because the production dates kind of confuse me

I can't speak from personal experience but I know a few forum members have replaced their clutches. Johnmadd and derbo have both done it.

Here is a link to some insight.

E34 M5 seems to be a popular choice. Please get a lightened flywheel.

Thanks much, from reading previous posts people complain that the light flywheel chatters to much?

I am running the turner motorsports clutch kit. No complains from me.

Someone here swapped in an M5 clutch into their zhp when their clutch went bad. They eventually sold the car because the clutch was too heavy and they didn't like it. That clutch might have been from an e39 instead of an e34 though I don't remember.

Go OEM imo. NO need to upgrade or use a lightened fly wheel (they do chatter) and the stock clutch is very capable.
