    BlueBus Install

I was very excited to receive my BlueBus recently, and got to installing it this past weekend. My car came with the SiriusXM retrofit module and antenna, which was using the factory pre-wiring for the CD changer. Since the BlueBus plugs into the car using the CD change pre-wiring, the first step was to remove the SiriusXM module and antenna:

Since I was planning to continue to use the factory Bluetooth calling functionality, the spot that that BlueBus was designed to be installed to was still going to be occupied by the factory TCU. So I decided to install mine in one of the little cubbies that are available in the trunk. I uninstalled the cubby, drilled a hole in the back for the CD changer wiring, and installed a rubber grommet to protect the wiring harness.

Then I drilled two holes in the floor of the cubby to bolt the BlueBus down, and got to installing the BlueBus.

Now the BlueBus is still hidden in the trunk behind the cubby door, but still easily accessible if I need to update the firmware.

Your car looks great! Nice install of the BlueBus. It's my favorite mod by far.
