    zhp control arms

I've read that the ball joints are different on the ZHP (solid metal) but is there any difference in the shape or geometry of the control arm itself. Or in other words, can i use the Meyle HD replacement if my ball joints are bad on the original? Thanks in advance.

ZHP ball joints are stiffer, but the geometry is the same, I believe.

Highly recommend OEM replacements designed for the ZHP.

I wasn't impressed the the Meyles I bought a few years back. Others here have had better luck I think. I wouldn't use them though.

So, if control arms are needed, go with OEM ZHP?

    Yup. I think it's like $400-$500 for a pair.

I paid $404 for my new pair. RM European has some good prices. I used OEMBimmerparts.com

    Sent from my GS3.

Wow, what a jerk. $404 is one with, but $407... how inconsiderate.

Meyle HD's are total garbage. My Meyle HD control arms completely failed after only 1 year, about 30k miles. I missed a track event because on the way to the track, the control arm's ball joint broke, so I replaced with the HD's. A year later, the SAME event (October), it failed again, only this time before the track. I was so pissed.
