Alright, I finally remembered to pay attention to this. This is a trait of HIDs; this phenomenon doesn't happen with the LEDs. It definitely did this when I had the HID setup.

I don't know, honestly. I find it weird that it does that, and now that you brought it to my attention, I'm asking myself the same thing.
It reminds me of when I had my car at a shop and they randomly commented on the LED bulbs I have in my car. They said that having those LED bulbs in there sends random pulses to the LCM (I assume the cold and hot checks for bulb functionality, which I have disabled) which could in the long run damage it. I didn't buy into that too much, but that also got me thinking.

This happens on e53 angel eyes when replacing the stock bulbs with LED. You have turn off the bulb checks which you have already done. I can say that it killed the LEDs in the angel eyes in our e53.
