Just got this offer for $100 off their yet to be available under-seat subs. Anyone have ideas on how they would be wired given the placement of the existing sub?

Yes, how do you "simply replace your factory underseat subwoofer..." if there isn't one there to begin with?
Guess you could take a pair of wires from the box in the trunk (below the deck) and wire that to the new subs under your seats.

Although I'm still a ways out from doing this upgrade (still have other things on to do list including Stage one speaker upgrade and head unit) I was looking into sub options. Best thing I found so far is a custom fiberglass box (see DIY here, post 37 is the route i'd go http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...=633713&page=2) and your choise of sub/amp. I am torn between a Kicker psd4-10 which has similar technology to legendary Solo baric L7 or the JL Audio 10w-7. This option will still cost about $600-1,000 after materials, sub and amp all factored in.
Budget option for custom fiberglass enclosure noted below using Rockford Fosgate R500X1D (500 amp 1-channel Class D amp) can be had on Amazon for $123 and a 10" Pioneer TS-W26154 can be had at crutchfield for $100 but is on sale for $85 if you don't mind some scratches. With cost of wiring, fiberglass resin, mat, dowels, etc you would be looking at roughly $300 installed.
Hey Shawn, the e90 sedans used underseat subs, so the first promo from Bavsound was in error.
I had (and Alex has) their e46 convertible ghost sub - and it's awesome. Although very expensive (>$700??) it was perfectly integrated and sounded far superior in practical application to many custom setups I tried using high-end drivers (such as the high-end JL). I think the driver they use is of reasonable quality (although maybe not as good as the JL), the original amp was a Rockford Fosgate Punch, and the "box" very basic... however, the woofer was perfect for use in an infinite baffle (ie open air) design which very few drivers can handle. This allowed the sub to use the whole trunk as the box, and gave a lot more sound in the car than "in trunk" options.
I don't know if you could shove one of the convertible kits into the ski-pass on the sedan??
