    Closed: VMR-710 19" Matte Black

So a couple months back my son bought some VMR 710s for his e90 335xi. He bought these used locally, and in perfect condition, from a guy who had them on his e46 M3.

Sizes are 19x9.5 ET 45mm (front) and 19x9.5 ET 22mm (rear), these are a perfect fit for the e46 M3. For my son's e90 car, the ET 22mm wheels are a perfect fit for the rear of his car. The fronts, however, required a 15mm spacer to clear the strut, and give it perfect stance. Our current dilemma is that much spacer on the front makes it act like a wheel is slightly out of balance at higher speeds. We've rebalanced the wheels twice, checked them for trueness, they are true, but it will occur at 75 & higher speeds. My suspicion is the spacer is out of balance slightly.

I've talked with ModBargains about buying individual wheels vice a set of 4, they'll basically give you the same price - $250/wheel, $500/pair, or $999/set of four. My son is now considering buying a pair of front wheels with the proper offset to negate the need for spacers. If he does that, he will have a pair of 19x9.5 ET 45 matte black VMR-710s available and I wanted to gauge if there is any interest in that pair of wheels. They are in perfect condition, no scratches or curb rash, new is $250 each, so he'd sell these for $150 each or $300 for the pair.

For an e46 non-M fitment, this pair of 19x9.5 ET 45 wheels are the perfect size for the rear of the car. And then you could buy a pair of new VMRs for the front for $500, the proper size for the front is 19x8.5 ET 35. End result would be a set of 19" VMR 710s for $800 vice the normal cost of $1000.

If you have an e46 M car, it's an even better package because the original owner of these wheels bought a spare wheel for the rear. So use this pair of 19x9.5 ET 45s for the M3 front, use the one used 19x9.5 ET 22 for the rear, and buy one new rear wheel. Same price per wheel, so $450 for the 3 used ones, buy a new one for $250, total set would cost you $700 vice $1000.

Let me know if you're interested, hopefully you're east coast, mid-Atlantic local cause shipping is expensive.

I only have access to here via an iPad during the day, every time I try to upload pix they're upside down or sideways causing my favorite moderator from Ohio the frustration of correcting their orientation. Will have to save the pix until I get home tonight but they look just like the ones posted on VMR's website, 710's in matte black.

And good to know Ray, I'll be contacting you shortly.

    John,
Not truly for sale yet until I get the replacements, probably will take a week or so to get the new set of 33 offsets delivered and tires swapped over. I was just trying to figure out if anyone would even consider buying just a pair of used wheels when they'd still would have to buy a pair of new ones to complete their set.

    Mods,
Please close this thread. Had it really scrutinized tonight, just getting home from that here at midnight (east coast). It's not the wheels, not the spacers, not the balancing - we have one slightly out of round tire. Not sure how that happens but I witnessed it with my own eyes. Guess its time for a new pair of tires on the front.
