That is what I was thinking. Seems ass backwards. I would look under the car and see if anything looks bent.

Well it looks like he might have been trying to reduce the thrust angle in the rear to minimize even worse handling but it's toe out on one side and toe in on the other is half backwards for handling and tire wear.
Yeah I'm not exactly sure what it is. Anyways. It's driving well for now. I'll be under there again shortly. Think it could be camber arms?
In the market for an E90 M3
There is plenty of toe adjustment capability from the factory. The toe adjuster always has more than enough toe to set the alignment correct. Keep in mind the more negative camber the more toe out you will get.I would look into the trailing arms and see if they are straight.

Performance Technic recommended SBC camber arms when I was planning camber arm replacement. It's what they use on their E46 M3 Race Car.
I'm totally down for adjustable arms, once I know that's what the problem is. I can't wait to check now.
