Full ccv replacement complete. Got it knocked out in 3 hours and this was the first one I ever did.

Went with the genuine BMW cold weather version which includes an insulated valve and 2 vent hoses and the drain hose. I also replaced the air distribution piece and the vent hose. Also the throttle body gasket and iacv grommet. Did the o2 pilot mod as well.

Of course the original system was filthy and the hoses just crumbled upon removal.

Don't they all at this point? lol

But yes it has slight oil consuption ( added 1 quart between the 7500 mile oil-change interval. ) Hoping this had something to do with the ccv never being changed.

Hmm....I've never noticed mine consuming oil. I now want to start monitoring it. :/

That was super fast Vas! How did you managed to do it in 3 hours? Did you take intake manifold out?

Yeah worth keeping an eye on it on the dipstick or if your low oil level light comes on.

No removal of the manifold or the oil filter housing. I didn't remove the oil dipstick either since I had replaced the o-ring on the bottom when I did the oil pan gasket.

Biggest thing was not wasting time removing the old system. Just cut the hoses or break them vs trying to disconnect them.
