I did the same Vas: I just cut the old hoses. I was struggling to fish, turn and snap the hose that goes between cylinders 2 and 3 I beilve. Then I see that some people are going the longer way of removing intake manifold.
I lost a lot of time with that hose and diced to remove intake manifold and go that way. That was a bit tidius, but it worked for me.
I need to learn you trick for the future

The hose that goes from the valve through the intake manifold up was the most difficult one for me as well. But it was easier to route it from under the manifold up without it being connected to the valve. Once it is in the correct location, install the valve and connect the hose to it. This will require some force since this is the same hose that rotates on the connection point on the valve. Some DYI instructions stated you have to rotate the hose on the valve for it to fully seat but actually you only need to rotate and press the clip when removing it. Hope this makes sense

CCV is on my to do list but I’m slightly intimidated by it. It seems like it could be more tedious than technically challenging?

Pretty much the case. But if you need to do the Oil Filter Housing Gasket, it will make the job slightly longer but will give more room to route the new system

If you need help, send me a pm and we can figure something out.

Is that from an E46 M3? Plug and play?
