Two potential issues for me with a rebuild:

    1. any issues with the frame not being completely straight pretty much renders the car useless for autox

    2. while i've worked on various parts of cars before i haven't done any body work

So as long as I could find a perfectly staight rebuild that had already had the body work done, then it would be a possibility.

Off topic, but is your screen name as in Beaver Cleaver? Assuming it's not, but had to ask...

    Finally got one!

I just returned home with my 2003 ZHP after a road trip from San Diego to north Idaho. It's a pretty rare non-sunroof, perfect for prepping as a nationally competitive scca solo stx car. It needs a new oil housing unit gasket and new power steerling lines, but should be a fun DIY to get to know the car and pretty inexpensive fix.

Wheels and tires are ordered, and now I'm shopping around for suspension. Thinking about going with AST 5200's with vorschlag camber plates and AST spherical rear shock mounts, but am still looking.

Anyway, happy to be a member both in screen-name, but now also with a car.

Yea, sorry. I detailed the hell out of the inside this last weekend, but seeing as it's raining and generally gross out, there wasn't a lot of point in cleaning the outside. Since it's still fairly dirty from the 1k+ mile treck I didn't feel like snapping any shots and embarassing it on its debut.

Many thanks to Marcus for his advice on the car and answering of my many questions through PM.

let's see if this pic works

and I'm obviously not a web developer, but I think I've got it. Still fairly dirty, but you get the idea.

That will not work. You're using a combination of HTML and BB coding. Our board will not accept HTML.

I did scrape the image out of there, though. It's a tiny picture.
