19s definitely look better. My dad eventually went from 19s to 18s on his m3 after destroying his ssr gt3's beyond fixing. He had them repaired 3 times I believe and the 4th the guy said he couldn't do it anymore. They sit in the basement now. Sad.

    WOLFN8TR'S ///M Project Thread!

I mounted the electric fan inside the stock fan shroud last weekend and just wired up a PWM Controller. The PWM controller acts just like the stock Aux Fan controller does. It ramps up the fan speed depending on the demand. Soft start technology is easier on the DC fan and the alternator.

Installed a set of ECSTUNING silicone radiator hoses and Mishimoto temp probe adaptor. The AutoCoolGuy PWM control works great! You basically set it where you want the engine temp to be and it controls the fan as needed. You can hear it slowly ramp up and down.

Also I was the first person to test out his "Buzz Box". Some electric fans buzz when using a PWM control, the Mishimoto does. He offered me a free one if I posted before and after videos of it working. There's two videos on his website of my M3 with it working. Kinda cool.

With power transistors, no contacts to arc and burn out over time.
PWM also limits in-rush current (soft start) when starting motors from a dead stop.
Relays used for starting DC fan motors is not a good idea.
Relays used to start DC fan motors from a dead stop will have arcing that limits the life of the relay.
The relay contacts could be welded together, that will put your fans in high RPM and drain your battery!
The relay contacts could be destroyed leaving you without a radiator fan control and engine boiling!

Offset the fan inside the shroud to clear the water pump shaft.

Nice stuff!! Ummmm your last pic. Are the connections insulated now? They look too easy to short.

Yes I did even thou there is no need per the Auto Cool Guy. But I feel better having them insulated.
