Thanks for the write-up Botond. Very nice review-per usual. The boot time, WiFi performance, no dimming or sleep mode would really irk me. I do have a few questions and excuse me if I missed it above.
1) How do you install apps? Do you need to be near (and connected to) wifi --like in your driveway or have a phone/plan that supports tethering (I do not pay for this from VZW)-- it appears that is the case based on your comments on the slowness of the units wifi.
2) Is the Waze navigation app supported?
3) Google maps has an offline mode, did you try that? (I do see where you had issues with it being "buggy".)
4) You mention trying an ipod. Did you try an iphone v5+ with a 30-pin to Lightning dongle? I'm interested if this charges and gives control for Pandora, etc. (If you don't have one, I can send you one to try if you'd like. LMK).
