    Any updates?

Wondering if to get these or the stoptech pads.

Stoptech are a little bit cheaper so was wondering if these are worth the price increase.

I need something. My fronts and Colin's rears produce so much dust.

I have no idea what is on Sketchi.

    According to tirerack.com

    Hawk 5.0 are

    Front - $90.00
    Rear - $101.00

    Stoptech

    Front - $71.00
    Rear - $51.00

I know BP is really fond of his (and I can never recall what he has...).

I still am enjoying mine thoroughly. I should say that there is maybe an extra 1/4" to 1/2" of pedal travel than before, but it doesn't bother me. As stated before, no real initial bite, but they brake hard and linearly with pedal input in a way that I really like.

Also, very low dust production so far.

I have Hawks But Kristen isn't sure whether she got HPS or HP+ because they are squealing and the + tend to squeal. They started sqeeling after a few thousand miles
They are low dust which I'm happy about. Like everyone has said, the initial bite isn't as good as OEM but after that, they are good.

Funny you say that about the pedal travel, I noticed the same thing and it was around the same time I did a fluid swap... I thought F'd up the process. Bled them a bunch of times and even had the dealership do it while Kristen was still working there....

I have the Stoptech pads and I wouldn't consider them a performance pad. The initial bite is lacking and they perform fine without a lot of dust but they are not as good as Redstuff pads or Hawk HP in my experience. I have 5 autocross sessions on them and I'm not impressed. Will keep them for DD duties and will swap them out in the summer when I go autocrossing during the summer months.

They sound like a great pad for the street and daily use. Plus the cost is alot attractive.

Any opinions on the Brembo Blank rotors? Are they coated to prevent rust on the hub and rotor face?
