The goal and discount is only based on the # of products purchased, not just DISA kits. You can buy just the cap, price is listed in the first post.

Maybe not everyone reads the Maint subforum. Post a link to this thread in the "What did you do for your ...." section.

    2 questions:
    1. Is the coolant cap a critical item? Just curious if anyone has used it...
    2. Does the DISA kit with fluorosilicone gasket cost extra, compared to the $79 kit, or is it included in the regular kit? EDIT: found the answer: It's a bit extra looks like.

    1) coolant cap is not critical however it is a lower pressure tank cap. G.A.S has an explanation on their website.

    2) it is extra.

George, I think setting up this group buy is an awesome thing! Katy took good care of me when I recently got my red 1.2bar radiator cap from them. I know she will take good care of everyone on this group buy

Per the GAS website, all BMW coolant caps are 1.4 bar - their claim is that's too high, that their cap at 1.2 bar will prevent catastrophic cooling system failures. Whether or not you choose to believe that is a different story, but the caps do look nice!
