Why the feeding frenzy if he won't respond?
I wouldn't call this a feeding frenzy... and sorry I've been working on final projects, studying for finals, and a whole lot of other stuff. Last final was today, Project report submitted 10 minutes ago, and another report thats going to be published is due tomorrow at 3pm... So, I'm a bit aloof, and rarely sleeping.
Addressing the interests and concerns: Found out yesterday, on my 3rd trip to the registry in a week, that I don't have to apply for a new title... No salvage, or even branded... So, I'll be keeping the car complete and either keeping it for myself, or selling it whole.
That being said- everything is always for sale... Just the prices aren't always reasonable.
The winters are not bad, a little older but the wheels are in great shape(bought them from Charrie). They're a super solid winter wheel, holds up against potholes. Are you local? If not, they're probably not worth shipping.
He put up a craigslist ad: http://worcester.craigslist.org/cto/5015140923.html
That ad was up before... For 4k obo. Back when he thought it was a salvage title.
FYI, even though the title wasn't branded when you bought it back, it can still be branded for the next owner. Source: I've had that happen. I was upfront about it being totaled, so no big deal, but I certainly wouldn't sell it as a clear title in case of a surprise at registration.
I went through both the insurance company and registry for multiple trips to get a final answer... So, I'm saying clean title as that's what I've been told. I have been screwed by the system also, so I'll follow up and get a written document stating it's a clean title from the registry.
