AFE CAI - Dyno proven 20hp & 27 ft lbs gains??

Does anyone have this intake by chance, or know anyone who does? Are these numbers real?? I'm skeptical, I find it hard to believe this CAI provides that much performance to any motor, even an M3. However if it does then sign me up, that's good bang/buck! Any/all input is appreciated, thanks.

I used to have it. Sold it to another mafia member. I bet he did not notice a huge jump in hp. Also, I didn't notice a difference in power when I replaced it with the BMW Performance intake. BMW claims 7hp, I believe, for its intake.

I have the aFe... 20hp is definitely BS, if anything, I would say 2-3hp tops.

I agree. Seems negligible to me.

Sounds about right. BMW claims 3hp for their Performance Intake as well.

Oh, is it only 3hp? That's more like it.

Yeah, that's kind of what I figured as well, just can't see 20/27 coming from a CAI... Dinan claims 11hp/9ft lbs for theirs, but I'm with you guys on the 4-5hp is probably average.

They claim 3hp, Boss- but it has dynoed at around 7hp from the dynos I've seen in other threads.

BMW under-promising on performance I guess.
