This thing is NICE. I love driving it, too... still not understanding all the hate. It's pretty fun to me, though a little bouncier than I'd like.

I love all the new standard features on 2016+ 328's and 2017 330's+...
Standard sport seats, sport automatic with paddles, the sport line bumper... and now finally 2017's all have two-toned interiors, so it won't matter what interior the CPO one that I eventually buy will have because they'll all look good.

I'd kill for comfort access in my E46.

I think the final car listing will be:
ZHP (track car, hopefully with an LS motor!)
    F30 330i or 328d as daily driver
    F80 M3 as fun car

True...it is just another thing to break and be forced to take to the dealer the day after the warranty runs out

I Had my airbag replaced today! It looks good.

I don't understand how I can take the airbag off 3-4 times and don't damage anything yet I take it to the dealer for replacement and they manage to scratch my lower trim. Why did they even need to touch it?

Pictures of new airbag, the wheel before I installed it a few days ago and the scratched lower trim.

I drove a 2013 328i recently and I agree with you, it's a really nice car especially as a daily driver. Even though the hp figures are similar to the Zhp, this pulls so much better with the 8 speed auto. Yes my car most likely lost a lot of horses but still, I'm not sure if they under rated the engine or having an electric steering and water pump helps it free up a lot more horses or if it's because of the 2 extra gears...
Yes the EPS sucks but sometimes I guess it's nice to be able to turn the steering wheel without much effort...
The one feature I wish my car had is IDrive, it's just so easy and intuitive. I loathed the infotainment systems on few other cars and I was ready to hate the IDrive too, but man it's really good...

I think as someone said, they let the old airbag drop/bang against the trim after they take it out and before they unhook the connectors. That seems like a good theory as so many of them are scratched. Either that or it's a conspiracy buy the dealers.

BMW Drivers side air bag recall July 2015 letter

So it has happened to others

Just read back a page or two that sucks. I wish I would've read that before I took my car in. I would've pointed out that it was in perfect beforehand.

I was wondering what was going on. I thought maybe they had a special tool and it went against the trim.

Damn. That sucks. Dealer do anything to make it right? I've never had a problem with my dealer, which I guess I was naive to these issues.

Not yet! He hadn't replied to my email 3 hours later so I called him. He said his manager wants me to come in and see him because they think the wheel is aftermarket LOL

He said he would call me back today... We will see.
