Accomplished the GM5 rebuild this weekend. Locks work like a charm now. Here's a quick synopsis of the DIY.

    Relays I ordered: Tyco V23084-C2001-A303

I followed this DIY for the GM5 Removal: https://www.bmwgm5.com/bmwgm5/

Once you pull the GM5 out you can use a flat tip screwdriver to open it up. Use your thumbs to push the plugs towards the opening. Just be careful not to drop it or to cut your fingertips on the corners of the chip (like I did).

This is what you'll see when you take the module out:

The relays you need to replace are the ones with the blue lettering. Theres 4 total on the module but you only have to replace the two on the left in the picture.

    This is the underside:

You can see where I soldered in the new relays. Theres 10 posts on each relay that need to be desoldered and resoldered. Make sure to get all of the solder off before trying to remove the relays or you'll damage the module.

This is a good DIY for the repair proceedure: BMW GM5 Repair

Locks work like a charm now.

I'll be posting up a full DIY after work today, in the mean time feel free to pm me if you plan on doing this DIY or have any questions.

"ZHP is a garbage option anyway- just some cosmetic upgrades with a different cam and diff to claw back some of the performance lost fitting those hideous and heavy wheels. Any 330 with a 3.46 diff will smoke a ZHP every time. The whole Mafia thing reeks of childish behavior." - anonymous

Do you have reinforcement plates and Rouge Engineering rear mounts on your car already?
