Under tray clip help, looking for the right clip.

    Hey guys,

I searched this real quick and didn't really find anything. Don't kill me, my brain is fried from searching everything wrong with this car this past week, from the disa, vanos, suspension parts, cooling system, coding keys and a bunch of other stuff. Not only searching but ordering the right parts and fixing them. Shits like a kick in the head and the balls.

I just looked under my car and its missing every clip that holds the under tray to the bumper. I definitely want to fix it. Anyone know what the right ones are?

    Thanks!

Clips? Are you talking about the plastic skid plate that slides above/into the front bumper?

Yes. Mine is missing all the clips that connect them.

Oddly enough, I'm also missing most of these and feel that the ones currently holding it together aren't original or correct.

I think you're looking at part numbers 10 and 11 in this diagram: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...74#51718268344

Someone may want to confirm that...

The front part takes a plastic rivet, correct? The others are screws.

Thanks what I was guessing. I might get the ones for a Subaru and see if they fit. They have a phillips head on them and are easier to take out.

I also just noticed that the tranny cover if missing. Gotta find one of those now.

The plastic rivets come in 3-4 different sizes, and they're cheap ($0.50), save yourself some frustration and buy half a dozen of each to keep in your "spares" drawer. These rivets are plastic, they break and/or get lost, if you have extras it makes your day go a lot less painful.
