Decided to get another car and wanted something a bit unique. I've always loved the e30 style and didn't want to pony up for an M3 variant, but wanted something interesting. Thanks to the 25 year import rule we're starting to see tourings make their way over. I've always had a big chub for wagons for some reason and found an exceptionally clean one on ebay and decided to pull the trigger.
So I picked up this guy from vintage autobahn out in Portland, and flew out for a little roadtrip to get initiated. The wife and I drove down through Bend for the night (and many beers), then Boise, Salt Lake and finally home to Denver. It ran beautifully other than not being impressed with going over 70 on the highway, limiting us to cruising, windows down, in the right lane for most of the jaunt.
It was imported from Germany in early 2015, has about 116k on the clock, the little baby m42 1.8 engine, completely rust free, and super tidy inside.
I bought it as a project car, so should be lots of interesting things getting delivered in the coming months.
