Snow is in the forecast at the end of the week which means the zhp will not be driven for the next 5 months or so

I have to decide whether to leave it in the car port at no additional cost knowing it might get hit with a bit of snow or leave it in a storage unit for about $165/month like I did last year...

Yup, pretty much what I’m thinking. I thought about using a car cover too but I don’t think my apt folks allow it and also heard a few stories about paint getting damaged while removing the car cover after having it on for a long time.

I thought of taking the zhp to a track day this year but didn’t happen for myriad of reasons. I can use the money saved towards that next year...

I agree with Rob’s suggestion. What do you do about the battery for long term parking like that?

Last year I removed the battery from the car and keep it on a trickle charger at home. Will do the same again this year...

Edit: will also swap the arc8’s for the 135’s with worn out tires...

We stored the 135 outside during the winters in NJ. We used a BMW car cover and we had no issues come spring... we did that for years until we moved down here...

I thought I’d get this done 2 weekends ago but didn’t happen. But this past Friday, I swapped the arc8/pss for worn out 135/dws06 and disconnected the battery. I’ll put a trickle charger on the battery at home since the car would be in the car port and not in a garage.

Spencer graciously sent me the car cover he had which I haven’t put on at the same time because there was moisture on the car and I didn’t want it to freeze with the car cover and possibly rip the paint off, so I’ll probably get to it sometime this week. Car has about 175k miles now.
