Cleaned and oiled the Gruppe M Intake's K&N air filter using this kit -

Oh how I missed the sound of this intake

Agreed. The top end sound at WOT is nice.

Since it's the beginning of the year I thought it would be a good idea to list out all the maintenance items that most likely will need attention -

    • CCV (again ) + O2Pilot mod
    • VANOS + VCG
    • Engine Mounts - M3 upgrade
    • New rear tires - if I decide to buy Conti's DWS06 again
    • RTABSs
    • CSB/Guibo
    • Fuel Pump - bought already waiting for the one in the car to fail
    • Subframe bushings - probably a long shot but let's see
    • Wheels - unlikely unless I find a good deal on used Apex Arc 8's or square set of BMW style 68's (8.5" width)
    • Brake pads and Rotors

Don't think anything else needs attention but we will see

That diff could use a little limited slip...

Kidding, that looks like a solid maintenance list for 2017!

And even though more and more people have them, I won't stop encouraging APEXes for replacement wheels.

I did think about a LSD but since I don't plan on Tracking the car and it isn't cheap, I thought I will take care of the maintenance items, for now at least.

Also added brakes to the list!

Anybody have any experience with this?

Right now I just water the car down and apply car shampoo using a wash mitt but I was thinking this would be better.

Thats a nice list. I got the rear suspension overhauled late last year and it made such a huge difference. Don't think you need to attack the subframe bushings - per Peter those do not wear out as much as the RTABs or the upper/lower (outer) ball-joints.

I also have VANOS + oil line (plus VCG) and brake overhaul as part of my 2017 list. The brake overhaul will consist of pads, rotors, calipers and lines.

Why do you need another CCV??
I have a tool to help with SF and RTAB bushings.
