    Just another manual swap

So I just purchased my 5 speed swap kit from norcal. It should be here sometime next week. Comes with everything except flywheel and pressure plate bolts, and pedal assembly. Ill also be throwing in my own clutch. Not sure when the swap will get done, possibly as late as summer given college commitments, but Ill use the time to procure a good clutch and shifter linkage. Wish me luck!

    Awesome

Take lots of pics while you do it. Document the sh*t out of it.

I've got the process down. Only thing I don't have down is the running the clutch lines. At the very least Ill go pro time-lapse it.

Nice. I haven't even looked if it's rubber the whole way down or metal in the middle.

Since I anticipate being busy til the summer, hopefully I can at least get my head under a manual at a salvage yard and check it out. Maybe find the pedals and clutch master for cheaper.

Do you have someone set up to do the coding? Planning to do any preventative maintenance (RMS more specifically) while you are doing the swap?

I have a man from E46F (BaliDawg) that I've gone to for coding before. He updated my auto software and offered to get NCS running for me when I go back. I don't have anything preventative planned yet, but I've just purchased the bulk of the parts. Still need to drop $120 on the pedals and master, then the clutch kit. Trying to speak with people that have done the swap about what hosing and hardlines are needed for clutch.
