Working on the rear quarter window trim this weekend

Still working it...had to remove the window to get all of the tape residue off. This has been an absolute PITA job...... Here is the replacement piece installed:



Next I'm also redoing the front side finisher gasket as it is torn as well. No sense in paying almost $700 per side for those. Following this DIY http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=373831 as a guide. Besides needing the gasket replaced I also need to polish the front edge it is no longer gloss black. My Dremel, a polishing bit, and some Meguiars Scratch Remover is bringing the gloss back, but it's a tedious job.

Finally got it replaced and put back together....a pain in the a$$ job, but I saved a bunch of $$$$$$$!

Thanks....does feel good, but it also makes one wonder how anyone worked on cars before there were DIYs posted all over then Internet???
