BFG G-Force Rival Question

All,

I am currently looking into a new set of wheels for my ZHP in an effort to cut some weight. I am most likely going to get the Apex Arc-8 in 17x8.5 et40. I currently have a set of BFG Rivals in 225/45zr17's that have virtually no wear on them.

My question is this: Will the Rivals that I have now fit and will there be any detriment to me for auto-x and track usage. I know the Rival is rated out to an 8.5 but don't want to push it too far to the limit of fitment just to save some money.

In the future I will be looking at the Bridgestone RE11 in 235/40zr17 but don't want to get rid of perfectly good tires at the same time.
