Not bad for having almost no seat time in the car -(as I stole it from Daughter #1). We plan to double drive it in one of the next events - she is totally stoked to run the car - and was bummed that she missed the event.

But she did score a goal in her soccer game - so that helped...

holy novice class.... I have never seen such a large novice group. my club did away with novice group bc of a lack of novices actually running novice class. ENJOY!

    Another fun day -

Moving up from the middle of the pack - slowly.
Feels like I am leaving a lot of time on the course...

Nothing better for a test and tune event to kick the year off.....

    Things are good -

Doing a number of things to the Z.

Got tired of the original stock rear shocks - so they are getting replace with the Bilestein sports along with a Vanos refresh.

Actually got tired of all the runs last Sunday - and skipped the last session - everyone took off for lunch and it was an hour and a half of back to back to back runs -

Got the #1 Daughter all signed up for this weekends driving school - Learn all Saturday and Auto Cross all Sunday -

    That quality Daddy Daughter time....

I've signed up for my first autocross school event sponsored by bmwcca national capital chapter in Maryland. I've got a 04 Sedan ZHP with 156k miles, running on original shocks, struts, and control arm bushings. Also, one of my engine mounts is torn/collapsed. I'm trying to decide whether to invest in suspension refresh before the season starts.

    Any advice?

I would recommend fixing the engine mount first. The car stock is a blast to drive.

I had to do the front suspension refresh last year because of bump steer.

Last year was about learning to drive the car. This year is getting it tight. I could not overly tell from the seat about the rear shocks but it was very notable on video.

My mounts are not torn but are on the list as it is a 100k car.

Drive it and have a blast is my thoughts. It will be in the top 1/3 but we are in the same class as m3 cars hard to get ahead of that extra 100plus hp.
