Botond gave me an opportunity to take a nice drive south this afternoon so I took the "express machine" to expedite parts delivery

I had an enjoyable drive down and the first comment I remember hearing from Botond and his friend was I got down there pretty fast. I didn't realize I made it down in quite a short time (my Waze app told me the drive was supposed to be an hour and 40 minutes)...

Needless to say, I will have to give my car a good wash tomorrow after I get home from work... she's dirty from driving back tonight. Lots of police out there trying to get speeding cars...

This is how it's supposed to be... there was no money exchanging hands here... I have a good friend who I met thru this forum who needed help and I was able to help out. I made the drive which took me nearly 3 hours of my time to go down and then come home just so Botond could have the part needed to restore his mirror. To me this is what family is all about... I would help Botond out in a heartbeat because I know he would do the same for me... and he has!

It's not the car you drive, it's how you drive it.

Expired emissions and as a result, not registered. Can't register without passing emissions.
It'll never be registered under my name again anyway. Pretend the GLI doesn't exist, because it never was supposed to have existed in the first place.

Gave my speed charriot a nice interior detailing yesterday

This summer the steering wheel will be replaced for an updated 997.2 Sport Design Alcantara steering wheel...

Interior is beautiful, really adds to the beauty of the 997 platform
