The R3 supposedly has awesome filtering for private cars with all the sensors for blindspot, lane hold, cruise, etc...

I was reading one guy had a Max 360 but it was unusable in his car because all it did was beep at his own tech. He put the R3 in and it was silent. R3 also has stealth tech so detector detectors can't see it in US states and Canadian provinces where it's illegal to use one.

From what I remember Infiniti's BSM was really bad for the falses, and Volvo LED (I think?) tail lights would trigger false lasers. My V1 was the most up to date hardware and firmware version at the time.

Customer service was really nice when I reached out to them about possible software updates. Unfortunately a lot of the small jurisdictions between Charlotte and the NC beaches (a drive I used to make very often) still run K Band, so living with all the blind spot monitoring falses just wasn't worth keeping a $400 unit.

My 9500ix was so much quieter than my dad's V1. I used it on a group drive into the mountains last month and all it did was blink the whole time. What a waste. LOL.

There were so many cars pulled over too that day because when you have 1,000 german cars heading to the same place, shenanigans will happen! I just picked my places as wisely as I could and accept consequences should I be caught.

The Japanese are trying to get the FCC and the whole world on one certain high frequency radar standard that is becoming more of a positive possibility than not. It's cheaper for OEMs to standardize and also the K band that's operating on it now is too busy and cluttered with such a tiny bandwidth to work with. So this is a win for everyone in the future.

Absolutely nothing to add to the radar detector conversation here, but I like how you (Trevor) have set up your sig pic to show a different picture each time I open one of your replies.

I ran a K-disabled V1 to chucktown and back. So quiet, and so pleasant when it did go off.
