The antenna can be mounted anywhere, I had it mounted under the rear deck panel. You couldn't see it at all and I never had a problem with getting a signal.Originally Posted by D1ESEL

I don't believe BMW ever made a factory carbon fiber trim option. I know they had the M3 CSL, but that replaced the entire door cards.

^ yes! Big thanks to Dan for shipping what appears to be nearly brand new console to me. My 11 year-old console was really beat up. I now have a very new looking one (and you can no longer tell that the previous owner of my car was a lady with long finger nails).
Switch was a piece of cake.
I Shall throw away the old one or maybe put it up on the paying forward thread.

Forgot to post this sooner, but the CF trim arrived super fast and looks absolutely phenomenal! Dan took great care of the trim while it was in his car and packed it with extreme care; it looks almost brand new. Can't wait to install this in my M3. Thanks again, Dan!
