    Didn't think there was a difference considering the BMWP bar fits both applications. Still good to know for our few M3 owners on here.

    they are different part numbers on Dinan's website...I can't imagine what the difference would be. Does one engine need more clearance than the other? I bet the only difference is price.

    S54 does need more clearance than the M54, that could be the difference (though I don't know why they wouldn't use the M3 part for both in that case).
