very cool stuff. Was the ball 'shopped in? (if you don't mind me asking) I hope it was...my mind would be blown otherwise...how could it be moving faster than her?

Wondering the same thing. It looks too fake, no shadows

Judging from the background, the sun is below the upper line of the stadium-- there would be no shadows on the field whether it was PSed or not.

The shot is actually a 3 shot composite meant to create a frozen at the point of impact feel...Hence the ball is moving but she is not.

Great analysis, but a complete understanding of light and how it works allows me to often shoot in shadow free environments. The shot isnt intended to look "real", its intended to look awesome.

Understanding light is about 90% of the battle Kayger....You are correct. In fact, I am shooting towards the West in the late evening which would mean that if there were shadows, I would also be shooting directly into the sun and my subject would have been more sihlouetted.. Good eye sir.

For a full breakdown of the shot please visit www.cwithersmedia.wordpress.com I have never had a problem sharing how I do things, in fact, you can't really be famous until people start copying you.
