no updates here as the car has been sitting at a secure parking lot in montreal since thursday the 15th... i've just finished driving across the US in a 26' uhaul with my brother-in-law, and up through utah/idaho/oregon/washington, and finally into BC yesterday. unloaded the 26' truck - including his '73 beetle, which was IN the uhaul - in 3.5hrs yesterday. it took about 3 days to pack the thing back in VT!

flying home sunday. missing my wife and kids like crazy. hopefully my car is in the same condition as i left it when i get there sunday night.

    loving the PacNW.

ha. you should have seen this uhaul packing job... any tetris-lover would have been proud. the beetle was 100% protected (and locked in place). nothing shifted during the trek!

Ah, vehicular Tetris. That's the game we had to play when we loaded up my buddy's Tacoma bed with a full NB interior (seats and door panels), a dash, lots of extras, and a full set of BBS RC wheels (with tires mounted). We were quite proud of ourselves.

Satisfying only making one trip, ain't it?

Nice! You came through the PacNW at a great time.

Shame you had to drive on through, would have loved to have a brief meet up.

I know, same here! But we were in a 26 foot U-Haul, and a tight timetable. Next time.

haha... yeah, a little more roll...

moving sucks. and when i move next, which is likely this summer, i am going to purge like crazy. i need to start now!

if we move to belleville (35min away from where we are now), i will hire a friend who has a moving company to move our stuff.

if we move to BC, i will likely toss/sell half of our stuff and re-buy stuff out there. the sad part is that the garage probably comprises 30% of the house stuff we'd move....

I had a 30 yard roll off container for my purge lol... Always get the next size up than you think you need
I'd say that 30% minimum of what we moved was garage and I had a pretty big shed too...
