I know you said you are interested in the s54 swap but is this the ultimate e46 wagon? Has the Zhp steering rack too...

Not bad. Needs new bumpers (mtech) and steering wheel and seats...

"ZHP is a garbage option anyway- just some cosmetic upgrades with a different cam and diff to claw back some of the performance lost fitting those hideous and heavy wheels. Any 330 with a 3.46 diff will smoke a ZHP every time. The whole Mafia thing reeks of childish behavior." - anonymous E46 fanatic
yeah, which is expensive. it also has pulled rear fenders, which is a big turn-off for me.
otherwise, very cool, and priced decently too. it has power seats so you could install any other power E46 sport seat. i don't think it's as nice as other conversions i've seen, but it's not bad!
you mean converting it to RWD? i think, where you live, you don't need AWD (heck, i don't even need it where i live). converting to RWD will not only make the car lighter, but quicker, and if you put in an LSD then you get your wintertime traction.
i've now driven both the Touring and the LSD-equipped sedan back-to-back in the snow this year and the LSD is so nice. it just hooks up and goes. no drama.

^so tempting. But so much work... I do like that idea. Would eliminate the xi issues too.
yeah, converting would be a big project... however, if you found a donor 330Ci/330i (or even better - a ZHP), then you would have everything you needed (minus LSD) for the swap. you literally could just drop the entire engine/trans/front subframe/front suspension/steering rack assembly out of the donor car, and plug it into the Touring. i've done a lot of research on removing the M54B25 in favor of an M54B30 and it's really not complicated.
plus - then you can have a sweet, unique car that can swallow a dishwasher. i loaded up a set of wheels and tires in the Touring tonight, with ease!

You ever see OEM touring shadowline trim come up for sale in a set up there? I wasn't aware that any tourings outside of EU came with full shadowline trim.
