UPDATE TIME
OK, so i pulled the interior apart last night. pics above.
it only took 3hrs to do this starting from a full interior - surprisingly easy. the bulk of that was from the Touring rear panels and the rear seat. doing this on a sedan... easily 2/3 of that time. this 'easy' job is another example of why i love this car and how it was engineered... nothing is overcomplicated, and it all is affixed with exactly what is required to hold them in place - nothing more, nothing less - and with fastener or clips that are easy to get to. i didn't break anything - and with 12-year old little plastic tabs and my clumsy hands, that is a feat.
the last time i vacuumed this car was in late november or early december when i put the M3 seats in... it was spotless then. now? the carpets are filthy from winter, and my kids' ingress/egress. so i'll be doing a full detail before and during re-assembly.
stuff going in:
- anthracite: headliner, pillars, plastic bits, pet net hooks, grab handles, visors, etc.... basically everything to make it look like a ZHP/M Sport Touring
- homelink module from ZHP sedan
- manual-dip mirror (not an auto-dimming fan - it doesn't dim enough for me)
- ZHP full-leather door panels
- M Sport door sills
- M Sport dead pedal
- black cube trim
- leather armrest (had leatherette before)
- leather rear seat (had leatherette before)
- LCM from ZHP
- M3 steering wheel (it's a lot nicer than the one in the car now)
- new summer mats from ZHP
and i'm thinking about putting the bilstein PSS rear shocks and rogue RSMs in now since i've got the interior apart... it would save me from taking the whole rear interior panelage apart later on when i do the swap.
LOL. fortunately i work from home and we've got The Tank.... and we didn't need two cars over the next couple of days, so it's OK for me to do this mid-week.
i will have a full anthracite pillar set for sale if you want 'dibs' before i list it (got an extra set from germany). all you would need is to either paint or recover the headliner to match.
that has a nice ring to it....
and hey, i'm posting 'in progress' pics...!
ooh, i like that!

Fantastic progress, Peter! I am curious, did the ZHPs get some special leather door panels that regular 330i did not get?
BTW, I am taking requests for hard to find pictures from Peter's garage since I will be visiting him soon. Can't put up with the tease anymore
