That's a shame it didn't take, but at least you got refunded. And painting it is probably the way to go. If you ever need to sell it, I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding an Imola sedan owner around here that would love to take it off your hands.

Vinyl job I got on my trim peeled slightly at the edges - if I could go back I'd paint it instead

Car is looking spectacular. Also I find your photography inspiring. I'll have to go back and see how you got your sedan bumper to look like an M3! I missed that part...What are your plans from here?

The paint on your car didn't look bad enough to warrant a full body paint job, did it? This must have been expensive...

the car probably had about 5 or 6 dings around the car on 1/4 panel, roof, hood. the door handles, bumpers and roof rails were a diferent SHADE of imola or red. more magenta instead of imola. the hood had chips in it down to the metal, the hood had major swirl marks real bad. various places had cooked areas of faded paint down to primer. albeit small it was still noticeable. the inside o the fender line in the engine bay where the hood meets, were toasted down to bare metal instead of painted red.

in pictures with photoshop and editing it looks great but if you saw it in person you would definitely see it.

the paint job will run $1250 with me tearing down parts like door handles, bumpers, trim pieces, head/tail lights and the shop will handle the rest. 4 base coats and 2 clear coats with color wet sanding and if i want a mirror policy with ceramic coating seal, it is an additional $300 on top of that.

Skeleton form looks pretty cool. Go for the ceramic. Totally worth it to protect the new paint and keep it perfect.

I would be curious to know what brand of paint and clear is going to be used.

No offense but for the price you are paying, it's probably low quality.

Just fair warning that it might not last down the road.

$1250 sounds way too good to be true... A paint job like this is usually $5-6k at a minimum around here!

This is exactly why my car still, and will continue, to look like ass.
