    thanks Dane

did the Fab work tonight. overall the fitment in general on the hinges was spot on. i didnt need any shims or have to move and readjust the trunk on the hinges. i just tried securing the trunk lid using the same markings as the stock oem lid and it was as close as you are going to get for spacing and fitnent.

other areas were not as nice. had to drill out the key lock hole and then the key lock mechanism needed to be shimmed from the inside in order to get the cylinder to protrude through the hold, otherwise the cylinder was sunken in very far causing gaps. Had to dremel out material for the manual lock mechanism itself as well to get it to fit properly. Also had to drill out a large hole to route the cable for the manual lock mechanism too. each one of the plastic pop rivet holes also needed to be enlarged. the spots in the factor trunk lid liner that are make shift handles needed to be cut out. i decided to just cut out the fabric handle instead of cutting out 2 large holes in the trunk. tail lights fit nicely as well.. wear your masks people when working with fiberglass.

No, i bought another bmw m4 black competition badge to use the ///M badge portion.

The wrap job is not good and already peeling on the edges underneath so i got s refund from the shop after making a complaint and will be putting that towards painting the trunk the right way.

Damn that sucks, but the ///M badge should look really good. The previous badge looked great.
