the issue is that the subframe mounts do not tie into the frame rails. they're just mounted to the carriers spot-welded inside the flimsy RACP, and it's only a matter of time until those spot welds break, and the rear floor starts pulling away from the chassis. it's serious issue that most people say, "eh, whatever" to.

the problem is lack of education on this issue. i've posted a bunch on here about it.

    nope, they're the same.
i saw something regarding the Mason Engineering X brace in conjunction with their 3 piece rear strut bar that required only drilling 2 holes where the subframe rear mounting points are and then drilling through longer studs.

its really pricey, over $800 but it seems like an option that i can do later with out dropping the entire subframe again but just removing 2 bolts and supporting the subframe until installation is complete.

    what do you think?

Nextel's Imola Sedan ZHP thread (another imola sedan?)

Yep that will work just fine. You're using the M3 rear subframe?
Unfortunately the M3 subframe/diff puts the load on the front left mount of the subframe so you're going to want to think about a solution for that too.
The reason this is the diff mounts opposite of the non M3 diff

the VinceBar is cheaper, and does not require dropping the rear subframe completely - plus, even if you did, it's not that hard.

the mason brace only supports the rear mounts, and it does not redirect the load path to the frame rails like the VinceBar does.

the VinceBar solution also reinforces the front mounts, and does it all without disrupting trunk space. plus you can install without welding. it's a win/win/win.

Are you cutting the wheel well? I noticed with the M3 rear end, the wheel well is in the way if you ever need to remove the Diff or D bracket.. #struggles
