    Hey from Montreal, Quebec, Canada

    This introduction is way overdue.
I've had the ZHP for the last 3 years and I'm really getting into this car.

Already addressed a couple of maintenance issues:
    • DISA valve
    • Water pump, thermostat and coolant tank
    • Rear section paint redone
    • All lubricants refreshed
    • CCV
    • Re-did the thermostat with a genuine unit. Should have searched here first...
    • Replaced the M3 Coupe mirrors with OEM 330 sedan mirrors
    • Fixed a water leak from the rear door faulty water barrier

    Still to be done:
    • Koni FSD suspension (Thank you Zhpmafia !)
    • New Conti DW tires
    • FCAB
    • Driver seat squeak
    • Birdy chirp in the suspension - Maybe that will go away with the FSD
    • Power Dip & Hesitation service bulletin software update
    • Replace the Takata airbags at the same time as the DME update. Try to minimize trips to the Dealer...
    • DSSR and a full shifter refresh
    • The HVAC blower motor is getting noisy...
    • ZKW to be retrofitted from The Source first thing in the spring
    • Really tempted by the Dual Mass flywheel delete. Already have the steel JBRacing single mass unit with the pilot bearing adapter for the 6-speed box

No wonder I get emotionally attached to a car that needs that much love !

I come from the E36 platform.
328 with 400,000 km as a valiant winter beater.
Previous missions included year round DD and first track car.

M3 Race car in I Sport Class with BMW Club Racing.
It took me a while to realize a dedicated track car was the only option making sense in a senseless hobby :-)

This is the latest black sedan 3-pedal Bimmer. At three it is officially a fetish...

This one is being taken care of as it will be driven for a long time and winter will not be given the opportunity to dissolve it...
Track duties are already covered by the two E36s.
As an instructor I've ridden in just about every BMW and driven a few and the E46 is the last of a dying breed in my opinion.
The last Ultimate Driving Machine before it became... something else.

I have already benefited from the knowledge displayed in this forum and appreciate the 'Family rules'.
I will try to contribute going forward.

The story about how I found this car right under my nose coming soon...
