Put my TCK camber plates back in. One of the mounting studs was rusted and broke when applying the suggested torque 2 days before my HPDE, and I had to hastily put my Lemmy mounts for the event. It’s one of the risks of buying used parts, I suppose, but it’s all good now.
Swapped my ACS front and rear tower bars for solid bars (brand unknown, maybe Nate remembers). The ACS front bar doesn’t allow access to the camber plates/struts for adjustment, so I wanted something with openings. The new front bar might not have large enough slots to accommodate enough camber adjustments—we’ll see once I get it aligned this week. The rear bar is solid as hell, no other comments.
Gave a much needed bath.
Diagnosing a rattle at low revs. Not sure if it’s SMF chattering, or the exhaust rubbing on the cross-braces. Otherwise the SMF conversion/non-self-adjusting clutch is very smooth.

Does the engine rev faster with the SMF?

It shouldn’t, since it supposedly weighs the same. I didn’t weigh it because my DMF was shedding lots of rubberized powder, and likely wouldn’t have given an accurate comparison. But being non-DMF it should feel and wear better, and being a non-SAC the clutch engagement is consistent every time. I’m still getting used to how low it’s engaging.
If I diagnose this mystery sound as being clutch chatter and not the exhaust, and it doesn’t go away with the break-in period (I have no idea if that’s a reasonable expectation since I’ve never had a clutch replaced), then I’ll probably regret not just getting a lighter flywheel for the quicker revs. Time will tell, but it does feel a hell of a lot better so far.

Thanks. I’ll try to get a video and text it to you. I was going to text you about those TCK spring perches later anyway.
I was actually experiencing throttle/rev surge with delayed drivetrain response because of a slipping clutch. I’d try to get on the power coming out of a corner, and the revs climbed quickly but the power didn’t apply in parallel. Because I’m only 100km into the 500mi. break-in period (or 800-1000 clutch actualizations per Peter) I haven’t tried to push it yet. Plus I need an alignment like crazy, so proper testing still has to wait a week or two.

Since I have the same kit now, I can confirm that it does not. You would get that with a lighter weight flywheel, but as Spenser said, this kit together weights the same.

This. If i knew, I would have just gotten another DMF, honestly.
The chatter is extremely annoying on a lightweight flywheel. At least the chatter with the SMF kit is barely audible.
