The Vettes and Ford GT are just loud as shit. The Lexus and Mercs have a surprisingly very low pitched note. I thought the M6 had the best all around tone. Notes on the video below:

I'm a bit partial to the V10's. The Lexii were a bit flatulent, low and boomy. Here's a clip with the screaming 911. It arrives first and makes the Lexus coming in seem dead quiet as it drives away. It almost seems like you can hear it through the whole clip. It's a shame in a few years time, we'll probably be listening to electric motors.

You definitely could hear the 911 everywhere it went, especially on VIR's back straightaway between Oak Tree and Rollercoaster. That AMG at the end of your video sounds like an old warbird.

I really thought about the 7s. I liked the idea of 9" fronts with 9.5" rears (still do), but I think the 7-spoke style looks better on the E9x, and the 8-spoke style looks better on the E46. Just my opinion, as I couldn't find very many example pictures of the 7s.

Hmm...so it does. What did you think of the paint-job on the Sunergy Merc?

I would agree on the 7s. I thought the design was close to the arc-8s and it might be a good possible fit for the E46. EC-7s seem to fit a bit better on the E46 M3, but it looks like their spokes are deeper.

I loved the SunEnergy Merc in the most obnoxious manner. It was ridiculous, but perfect for a race car.

I just looked at the 7s again, and it looks like they might not have much concavity. Have you looked at the Apex PS-7? Pretty sure they're on sale right now.

That's all I do. I think that purchase will be a ways off. 135s have grown on me over time. Still a pain in the ass to clean.

I love the 135s, but not enough to put the money into refinishing them (mine needed more TLC than I could provide). Nate had VB3s on his last ZHP and after seeing it I always knew I'd be putting CSLs on.

I can confirm no noticeable vibration on the phone mount. It looked pretty solid all the way home.

if they made 135s in a more aggressive offset or rears with more concave in them, I would buy them in a heartbeat.

what phone mount are you using? have a link to it?

The ones from the E60 are a little more concave, with a more aggressive offset, but I think they’re pretty hard to find.

The phone mount is the Bimmian/Panavise mount with a little WhizGear (sp?) magnetic ball joint. Mine shakes around, and I’m trying to figure out if it’s the ball joint or what. The whole car is vibrating right now, so it’s hard to single anything out. But I’ll keep throwing money at it until it gets sorted out.

I thought they had 135s with more concavity for the 5 series. There was a picture here somewhere with a staggered set.

I think the magnet was this one:
