It would be more prone to dislodging after driving through a pile of snow. Yeah, I don't have much faith in those screws. There should have been some sort of other security there. It depends on your driving style. If you're a beginner, you probably won't cook your pads, but if you're a faster driver than consider changing out your brake pads for something more track focused but streetable (like the Hawk HP+ or EBC Yellowstuff).

The first HPDE I did was with stock brakes and pads and they were fine. I got some brake fade but it was manageable
